The Janet Napoles Saga Continues: Bleeding after Hysterectomy?

A month after being hospitalized for a hysterectomy, the camp of alleged pork barrel queen Janet Lim Napoles, requested for a delay in her return to Fort Sto. Domingo in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

The reason they say, is due to vaginal bleeding, that needs medical attention. Some pundits claimed that these were just an attempt of the Janet Napoles camp to delay her incarceration in Laguna. Napoles was supposed to be out of the hospital in May 23, but doctors at the Ospital ng Makati, issued a medical bulletin saying that there was vaginal bleeding.

The contention of the doctors is that, there should be no more bleeding since she no longer has a uterus. Several reasons were floated about on the probable reason, like her having sex in the hospital. These wild rumors are making a mockery out of the whole thing. It is a known fact that surgical removal of the uterus oftentimes results to a bloody vaginal discharge from several days to several weeks after surgery.

As anybody who has undergone the said procedure knows that you will likely need to wear sanitary pads for some time since you're bound to bleed. The bleeding can range from mere spotting to light bleeding. Heavy bleeding would need further consultation with the doctor for evaluation - if it happens.

Let us hope that the public gets clarified on this matter soonest. Any delaying tactics on the part of the camp of Janet Napoles will just trigger the public perception of another cover-up.
